Class Fee
There is a one-time $125 registration fee per person. The fee includes full 12-hour Home Buyer Education and Certificate. Please pre-pay registration fee via Online, Mail-In*, or Walk-In. Please keep your receipt and present your proof of your payment to the class.

All classes are held on Saturdays at KCCD LA classroom
Seminars are held every 2nd Saturday (in Korean language) and 4th Saturday (in English). During holiday season, dates are subject to change without notice. Please come to classroom located at:

(We are located at the Wells Fargo Bank Building on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Ardmore St. Building parking lot is closed on Saturdays. Alternate parking is available on 3540 Wilshire Blvd. You may have to pay for parking.)
Both Sessions 1 and 2 must be completed
Each Session is 6 hours long plus 1 hour lunch time. Both Sessions 1 and 2 must be completed in order to receive the 12 Hour Certificate. You may take Session 2 before Session 1, and you may also take one in Korean and one in English, if applicable. Financial Literacy Education is included in the curriculum for the 12-hour Homebuyer Education class.

General Questions
12-Hour certification courses are your requirement to receive any assistance from the government. You must obtain the certificate before you proceed on your purchase with government downpayment assistance. KCCD also strongly recommend that you finish your one-on-one counseling. KCCD conducts free one-on-one counseling to general public. Whether you are first-time home buyer or not, KCCD can help and guide you throughout your home purchasing process. During the counseling session, the housing counselor is going to look at each client's financial status, credit report, and monthly budget in order to give recommendation. Also the counselor can give you approximated amount of government assistance, mortgage, and monthly payment if you qualify. Each session will last approximately 1 hour.

KCCDHCA Foreclosure Prevention and House Preservation Program
KCCD conducts free education workshops & counseling sessions for those home owners who are having difficulty making their mortgage payments. The counseling session consists of extensive intake, monthly household budget, mortgage document review, and analysis of hardships. Upon the needs of the client, KCCD counselors can contact the lenders on client's behalf to start negotiation.

Documents and Preparations
Please be advise that we do not charge for the service. However, we need you to provide the following documents in order for counselors to began counseling. There is no exception on the required documents.
(1) Intake Form - Download [PDF]*
(2) Signatures on the form* - First 4 pages
(3) Copy of monthly statement
(4) Copy of original loan documents
(5) Copy of most recent tax return
(6) Copy of most recent credit report, if available
(7) Copy of any other documents related to your mortgage(s)
(8) Copy of most recent bank statement
